The Environmental Awareness Group of Antigua & Barbuda
Raising awareness & promoting sustainable use of natural resources

A brief shower of rain Sunday morning did not dampen spirits on the Environmental Awareness Group's "nature and photography" field trip. The group met in the Half Moon Bay parking lot at 7:30 am, and followed the Solder Point trail around the southern point of the bay, identifying flora along the way using the EAG’s "Guide to Plants & Historic Sites on the Trails".
After a steep incline, the trail levels out to view a stunning rock-bridge formation, to which Devil's Bridge cannot compare. Robby Breadner, of 365Antigua, instructed the group on camera exposure settings to adjust to the dim light of the 35-foot cave/dungeon, and the bright sunlight that filtered through the clouds. On the way back, the group collected several bags of rubbish along the coast and in front of the abandoned hotel.
We encourage the public to join us on the next Nature and Photography field trip on Sunday 28th February.
Contact the EAG (462-6236) or 356Antigua (561-3788) for more information.
